Voice agents
AI voice agents that call in your customers' languages
An AI voice agent, or AI calling agent, answers your inbound calls and makes outbound ones, talks with each caller in their language, and gets the job done during the call. It replies in about 300 ms and costs $0.055 per minute.

These are live agents, not recordings. They are set up for Indian businesses and mix Hindi and English the way callers do. Use the arrows to pick one.
Inbound
Inbound calls: the agent answers on your number.
Calls arrive on the phone number you connect and the agent picks up and handles the request itself. There is no IVR menu to build and no routing tree: callers say what they need in their own words.
During the call the agent can look up an order, book a slot or update a record through your tools, then transfer to a person when the caller needs one. See AI IVR, AI answering service and the bilingual receptionist.
Outbound
Outbound calls: campaigns that hold a conversation.
In Sonex Flows you upload a call list, set the calling window and time zone, and choose retry limits and back-off. The agent places each call, has the conversation and logs the outcome, instead of playing a recording.
Before calling in India, check TRAI's 140, 1600 and 1601 number series and TRAI's rules on robocalls and commercial calls. See outbound calling and the AI telecaller.

Languages
Callers hear their own language.
Callers can speak Hindi, English, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi, Arabic, Spanish and many other languages. Valmiki STT detects the language automatically, even when the caller switches mid-sentence, and the agent replies in it.
Pāṇini TTS reads 250+ languages, so the agent can also speak regional languages such as Bhojpuri or Marwari. Pāṇini TTS reads mixed-language text such as Hinglish naturally, in one voice. For a local accent, clone a voice from a 10-second sample of a native speaker.
Telephony
Connect your own phone numbers.
Connect the telephony account that holds your business numbers. Inbound calls on those numbers go straight to the agent, outbound campaigns call from them, and Sonex adds no minute charge for telephony you bring. Your provider stays responsible for number series, DLT registration and caller ID.
Pāṇini TTS is trained for 8 kHz phone audio. Valmiki STT transcribes the caller as they speak, so replies start in about 300 ms. Setup steps are in the telephony docs.

FAQ
AI voice agents, answered.
An AI voice agent is software that holds a phone conversation: it listens to the caller, decides what to say or do, and speaks the reply. On Sonex Flows it answers inbound calls on your number, places outbound calls from a list, looks things up or books through your tools during the call, and transfers to a person when needed.
