Outbound AI calling: an auto caller that holds the conversation

An auto dialer plays a recording or waits for a free human agent. An AI auto caller talks: it confirms the order, answers the question, takes the reply and logs the outcome, in Hindi, English and other Indian languages. Campaigns run in Sonex Flows at $0.055 per minute.

Dialer vs AI agent

Auto dialer, predictive dialer or AI calling agent?

All three dial from a list. They differ in who talks once the call connects.

If you only need to play the same message to everyone, a voice broadcast (voice blast) is enough. Use an agent when the call needs a reply: a confirmation, a reschedule, a payment date.

Campaigns in Sonex Flows

How an outbound campaign works.

  1. 01

    Upload the call list

Upload a CSV with a phone column. Every other column, such as name, order number or due date, is passed to the agent for that call.
  2. 02

Set the calling window and time zone

Calls go out only in the hours you allow, in the time zone you choose.
  3. 03

    Set retry limits and back-off

Choose which results to retry (no answer, busy, failed), how many times, and the wait between attempts, fixed or growing with each try.
  4. 04

    Launch and watch outcomes

The agent places each call and has the conversation. Every call has a recording and a transcript. Results flow to HubSpot, Salesforce, n8n, Zapier or Make.

Rules

Check the calling rules before you launch.

In India, commercial calls must come from the right number series and follow TRAI's rules for automated and A2P calls. Read TRAI's 140, 1600 and 1601 number series and TRAI's rules on robocalls and commercial calls, or use the number series picker to see which series applies to your calls.

Calling other countries? AI calling rules by country covers disclosure, consent and calling hours, and the UAE rules for AI sales calls set a 9 am to 6 pm window. Open each call with a line from the AI disclosure and recording-notice scripts.

Ready-made outbound scripts: COD confirmation, EMI reminder, collections, delivery and more. Replacing a telecalling team? See the AI telecaller cost comparison.

FAQ

Outbound AI calling, answered.

An auto dialer dials numbers from a list and either plays a recorded message or connects the answered call to a human agent. An AI calling agent dials and then holds the conversation itself: it answers questions, takes the reply and records the outcome, and transfers to a person only when needed.

No. A predictive dialer paces calls for a team of human agents. On Sonex the AI agent places and handles each call itself, and transfers live to your team when a person is needed.

Yes. Each campaign in Sonex Flows has a calling window and a time zone, so calls only go out in the hours you set.

You choose. Set a retry limit and a back-off between attempts for each campaign, so unanswered numbers are tried again later rather than straight away.

$0.055 per minute of call, about ₹5.23. A connected call that lasts 90 seconds costs $0.0825, about ₹7.84, so 1,000 such calls cost $82.50 at the published price.

From the numbers in the telephony account you connect. In India, promotional calls must come from 140-series numbers, and banks, insurers and other regulated firms must use 1600-series numbers for service calls. Your telephony provider issues and registers those numbers; check TRAI's rules before you launch.
