Telugu AI voice generator

Ananya and Neha (both female) are native Telugu platform voices; Ananya reads the playground above. Any Sonex Labs voice can also read Telugu, and a voice cloned from a 10-second recording of a Telugu speaker keeps that speaker's accent.

Free Telugu text to speech: what you get

  • Play up to 220 characters of Telugu at a time in the playground above, with no account.
  • Sign up free for 10,000 characters and one voice clone, no card required.
  • After sign-up, get MP3 from the API or download clips from the dashboard.
  • After the free characters, $0.03125 per 1,000 characters, the same rate for every language.

Convert Telugu text to audio (MP3)

Sign up free, then send Telugu text to the API with "output_format": "mp3" and save the file, or generate clips in the dashboard and download them. Scripts longer than the playground's 220 characters work the same way.

Telugu text reader

Paste up to 220 characters of Telugu here to hear it read aloud; sign up to read longer text through the dashboard or the API. On call scripts, write clock times as English words in Telugu script ("టెన్ థర్టీకి") and dates in Telugu ("పదిహేనో తారీఖు"), the way Telugu speakers say them.

About Telugu

How Telugu speech is read

Telugu calls are polite in a particular way. గారు follows a name, as in "శర్మ గారు", and అండీ softens almost every sentence a support agent says, from "హలో అండీ" to "సరే అండీ". Leave them out and a reminder call sounds curt; read them stiffly and it sounds scripted. The samples on this page are written with them and read by Ananya, a native Telugu platform voice.

Telugu speakers also mix English more than written Telugu suggests, and in a predictable way. On a phone call, clock times are usually said in English ("ఫోర్ థర్టీ"), dates stay in Telugu ("పదిహేనో తారీఖు"), and English nouns take Telugu endings, as in అకౌంట్లో (in the account). Call scripts written that way, in Telugu script, sound like a person from Hyderabad or Vijayawada rather than a translation.

Commercial use

Use Telugu AI voice-overs on monetised channels

  • Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.
  • This applies to the free tier and to paid credits. No attribution to Sonex Labs is needed.
  • You are responsible for your script, and for disclosing realistic synthetic content where a platform asks you to.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Telugu

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Telugu, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Telugu script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Telugu, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

How voice cloning works

API

Telugu TTS API

One request returns Telugu audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).
