Hindi voice over scripts (free samples you can hear)

34 Hindi scripts for creators and producers, in 11 groups by use, such as YouTube intros and ads. Each script shows its word count and spoken length, and plays live in a Hindi AI voice.

Before you record

Writing a script to be heard

A listener hears a voice over once, at the speed of the voice. These 4 habits keep a script easy to follow by ear.

  • Short sentences. The listener cannot read a line twice. Keep one idea per sentence, and break a long line at the comma where you would breathe.
  • Numbers the way they are said. Write "दो हज़ार चार सौ निन्यानवे रुपये" or "पच्चीस मिनट" if that is how you want it read, not a figure the voice has to guess at. Every script here does this.
  • A pause after the hook. Make the hook its own sentence and end it with a question mark or full stop, as in "पढ़ाई में मन नहीं लगता?". The voice stops there, and so does the viewer's thumb.
  • Hinglish in mixed script. Hindi in Devanagari, English words in Latin, so "phone की battery" rather than all Roman letters. The voice then reads each word in its own language, in one accent.

    Suspense story: the midnight knock

It was past midnight. The whole lane was silent, except for a dog barking somewhere far off. Then suddenly someone knocked on the door three times. I looked at the clock, then asked softly, who's there? No answer came. I gathered my courage and opened the door. There was no one. Just an old envelope lying on the ground, with my name on it.

Documentary: a small-town station at dawn

This is the railway station of a small town. It's half past four in the morning, and the day has already begun here. The tea seller has his kettle on. On a bench, an old man waits for the newspaper. And across the tracks, a few children in school uniform wait for the train. Here people trust the train's whistle more than the clock. Today's story is about this station, and about the people whose lives turn around this platform.

Near a small village in Rajasthan, an old fort stands on a hill. The villagers say nobody really remembers who built it. Time has marked its walls, but the iron studs on its gate are as strong as ever. But the real story is not the fort, it's the well in its courtyard. They say that even in the worst famine, its water never dried up. Why? Let's find out.

Room thirteen in the hostel had been locked for years. The warden said the lock was just broken. But every night at exactly two, there was the sound of someone turning pages in that room. Motivational Reel

Life brings both defeat and victory. The only difference is that some people fall and stay down, and some dust themselves off and stand up again. You don't have to get ahead of anyone else. Just be a little better than yesterday's you. One small step every day. Read ten pages today, walk for twenty minutes today, finish one task today. Remember, today's small effort becomes tomorrow's big success. So don't stop.

How to read it: Steady and sincere, not preachy. Quicker on the three "आज" lines, then slow for the ending.

    Three study tips

Can't focus on studying? Try these three things from today. One, keep your phone in another room. If it's in front of you, your hand will keep reaching for it. Two, study for twenty-five minutes, then take a five-minute break. Studying in small chunks feels easier. And three, explain what you studied to someone, even if it's the wall. If you can explain it, you've understood it. Save this Reel, and send it to the friend who needs it.

How to read it: Chatty and quick, like advice from a senior. A clear beat before each tip.

Need breakfast in ten minutes? Then try this poha. Rinse the poha and leave it for five minutes. Put a little oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chilli in a kadhai. Then fry the onion until it is light golden. Now add turmeric, salt and the poha, mix well, and cover for two minutes. Squeeze lemon on top and add green coriander. That's it, hot poha is ready. Don't forget to follow for more easy recipes.

    Comeback after a failure

Falling isn't defeat. Staying down after you fall is. Whatever failed today, try it a little differently tomorrow. Every big story has a page in the middle where everything seems over. This is that page. Turn it.

How to read it: Steady and firm at normal speed. Stop fully after "ये वही पन्ना है", then say the last word slowly.

Changing your life doesn't take a big plan, it takes small habits. A glass of water every morning, a ten-minute walk, and the phone away before bed. Sounds simple, but try it for thirty days straight. Then tell me if it made a difference.

How to read it: Friendly and easy, like advice from a friend. A beat between the three habits.

    Making a strong password

Making a strong password isn't hard. Never use your name or birthday, because those are the easiest to guess. Instead, join three or four words that you'll remember but nobody else would think of. Like, blue umbrella papad rain. Keep a different password for every important account. And wherever you get the option, turn on two-step verification.

How to read it: Helpful and plain, no alarm in the voice. Read the example words slowly, one by one.

Jai Shri Krishna. Welcome, all of you, to this quiet hour of the morning. Close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath. Little Kanha and the butter pot

In Gokul, every house made butter, and butter went missing from every house too. Who was the thief? Little Kanha and his friends. One day Mother Yashoda hung the pot up high, so Kanha couldn't reach it. But Kanha wasn't one to give up. He stood his friends one on top of another and reached the pot. Just then, his mother walked in. Kanha wiped the butter off his face and said, all innocence, Maiya, I didn't eat the butter.

How to read it: Playful and fond, like telling it to a child. Do a small, innocent voice for Kanha's last line.

    Bedtime story: the falling star

This is from a long time ago. In a small village lived a boy called Ramu. Ramu loved counting the stars at night. Every night he would lie on the roof and start counting, one, two, three... and fall asleep counting. Then one night he saw a star slowly coming down. Ramu's eyes lit up. He climbed down from the roof and set off towards where the star had fallen...

How to read it: Soft and slow, wide-eyed. Count "एक, दो, तीन" sleepily and let the last sentence trail off.

Novel opening with title and chapter

Presenting The Last Letter. Chapter one. That summer was hotter than usual. The water tank on the roof of Nani's house would be boiling by afternoon, and we children would lie under the mango tree. I still remember that June afternoon when the postman stopped at our door for the first time. He placed a blue envelope in Nani's hand. Nani opened it, read it, and went inside without a word. After that day, nothing in the house was the same.

How to read it: Read the title and chapter plainly, pause, then settle into a remembering, slightly wistful voice.

    Self-help book opening

Before we start this book, one small question. When did you last do something just because you enjoyed it? Not for marks, not for praise, just because. If you can't remember, don't worry. It's not just you. Most of us keep running all day but never ask where we're going. This book is about that question. Over the next few chapters, we'll slowly work out how to take back our time, our energy and our attention.

How to read it: Direct and kind, as if speaking to one listener. A real pause after the opening question.

    Detective novel opening

Inspector Verma hated rain. Rain washes away evidence, and witnesses don't leave their homes. It was pouring that night too, when the station phone rang. A trembling voice came from the other end: Sir, something's wrong at bungalow number seven. Come quickly. Verma picked up his umbrella, then put it back. He was going to get soaked tonight anyway.

How to read it: Dry and low, a hard-boiled narrator. Make the caller's line shaky, and land the last line flat.

How the lengths are worked out. The word count is counted from the script itself. "Read aloud" is an estimate at 130 to 150 words a minute, a common rule of thumb for Hindi narration that we have not measured. The Pāṇini TTS figure uses our measurement of 937 characters a minute of finished Hindi audio, with the Priya voice at normal speed (24 October 2026). That is about 206 words a minute, so an AI read comes out shorter than a narrator's. Other voices ran up to a fifth faster, and the rate was measured on Devanagari Hindi, so mixed-script Hinglish may differ. More in how long a Hindi voiceover runs.

The Hear it button reads the script live through Pāṇini TTS; nothing is pre-recorded. The free demo reads up to 220 characters, so longer scripts play their opening. To try your own text, use the playground on the Hindi text to speech page.

From script to video

Turning a script into a voice track

Pick a script, change the names, numbers and details to fit your video, and read it aloud once yourself to catch anything that trips your tongue. Then render it in a voice, listen through, and fix the lines that sound off by rewording them, not by forcing the voice.

See how creators use Pāṇini TTS for YouTube and Reels, the Hindi voices and voice-over guide on Hindi AI voice-over, and the per-character rates on pricing. Making a particular kind of video? Each has its own guide, with voices and pacing: kahani, horror stories, news explainers, motivational clips, cartoons and YouTube Shorts. For phone calls and IVR prompts, use the call scripts in Hindi and Indian languages.

From 28 to 100 words. Each card shows its word count, an estimated length read aloud by a person at 130 to 150 words a minute, and the length Pāṇini TTS produces at normal speed, from our own measurement of 937 characters a minute for Hindi.

No. It sends the script to Pāṇini TTS and plays what comes back, live. The free demo reads up to 220 characters at a time, so longer scripts play their opening sentences. To hear a whole script, paste it into the dashboard after signing up.

For a voiceover, write the Hindi words in Devanagari and leave English words in Latin letters, as in "मेरा order". Each word then arrives in its own script and the voice says it in the right language. Hindi typed fully in Roman letters is ambiguous to a text-to-speech engine, so convert it first.
