About Bengali

How Bengali speech is read

Bengali is the second most spoken language in India and the language of Bangladesh, so the same audio often has to work for listeners on both sides of the border. The samples on this page use a neutral, standard colloquial Bengali, read by Nupur, a Bengali platform voice.

Like other Indian languages, Bengali customer text mixes in English nouns (order, link, SMS) and adds Bengali case endings to them, as in "SMS-এ". Pāṇini reads those forms as one sentence, in one voice.

Use Bengali AI voice-overs on monetised channels

  • Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.
  • This applies to the free tier and to paid credits. No attribution to Sonex Labs is needed.
  • You are responsible for your script, and for disclosing realistic synthetic content where a platform asks you to.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Bengali

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Bengali, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Bengali script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Bengali, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

API

Bangla TTS API

One request returns Bangla audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).
