Hinglish text to speech

Hinglish text to speech reads Hindi mixed with English in one natural Hindi voice. Type it the way your customers write it, Romanised Hindi or Devanagari with English words, and play it free below with no login. In this playground, Romanised Hindi is rewritten in Devanagari by Vyas LLM before Pāṇini TTS speaks it; through the API, send Devanagari with the English words left as they are.

Hinglish AI voice generator

Shruti, a native Hinglish platform voice, reads the playground above. Any Sonex Labs voice can also read Hinglish, keeping its own accent, and a voice cloned from a 10-second recording of a Hinglish speaker carries that speaker's accent.

About Hinglish

How Hinglish speech is read

A large share of Hindi is typed in Roman letters: "aapki EMI ki due date fifteen tareekh hai". Read letter by letter, that sounds like badly pronounced English. The playground on this page first rewrites Romanised Hindi in Devanagari with Vyas LLM, keeping the English words in Latin script, and Pāṇini TTS then speaks it as Hindi. Through the API, do the same before you send the text.

The other common form is Devanagari with English words left in Latin script, as in "refund process कर दिया है". Pāṇini TTS reads it directly, in one voice, without a change of accent where the language switches.

Use cases

Hinglish voice use cases

Messages you already send

Reuse the Hinglish copy from SMS and WhatsApp templates as voice calls, with no rewriting into pure Hindi.

Voice agents for urban customers

Agents answer in the same mix the caller speaks, which sounds more natural than formal Hindi or Indian-accented English.

Creator content

Short-form video narration in the register audiences actually use.

Commercial use

Use Hinglish AI voice-overs on monetised channels

  • Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.
  • This applies to the free tier and to paid credits. No attribution to Sonex Labs is needed.
  • You are responsible for your script, and for disclosing realistic synthetic content where a platform asks you to.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Hinglish

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Hinglish, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Hinglish script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Hinglish, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

How voice cloning works

API

Hinglish TTS API

One request returns Hinglish audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).

FAQ

Hinglish text to speech FAQ

Speech from text that mixes Hindi and English. It comes in two forms: Romanised Hindi ("main aa raha hoon") and Devanagari with English words ("refund process कर दिया है"). Pāṇini TTS reads the second form directly; the playground on this page converts the first to Devanagari before it is spoken.

Yes, after free sign-up. The playground on this page plays audio in your browser only, up to 220 characters at a time, so you can check the voice first. Yes. Audio you generate, on the free tier or with paid credits, can be used on monetised YouTube channels, Shorts, Reels and in ads, with no attribution. YouTube limits mass-produced, repetitive videos, not AI voices, so write your own script and keep your edits original. The monetisation decision is YouTube's.

The audio you generate is yours to use, including commercially, with no attribution and no royalties to Sonex Labs. You are responsible for the script itself: if you read someone else's text, you need their permission.

Yes. A Sonex voice clone is not tied to the language it was recorded in. Type a Hinglish script and your clone reads it in your own voice, with Hinglish pronunciation. Your natural accent carries over, so it sounds like you speaking Hinglish.
