Rujuta (female) and Atharva (male) are native Marathi platform voices; Rujuta reads the playground above. A Hindi voice can read Marathi, but it slips on Marathi sounds such as the two ways of saying च and ज; for a local sound use Rujuta or clone a Marathi speaker from a 10-second recording.
Sign up free, then send Marathi text to the API with "output_format": "mp3" and save the file, or generate clips in the dashboard and download them. Scripts longer than the playground's 220 characters work the same way.
About Marathi
Marathi shares Devanagari with Hindi, but the same letters do not always make the same sound. च and ज are said two ways: "चिमणी" (sparrow) has the familiar ch, while "चार" (four) is said with a ts, and the script does not mark the difference. Marathi also uses ळ, as in "वेळ" (time), and the eyelash र in words like "दुसऱ्या". A Hindi voice reading Marathi slips on these in almost every sentence, which is why every sample on this page is read by Rujuta, a native Marathi platform voice.
Spoken Marathi also contracts what written Marathi spells out: "तुमचं" rather than तुमचे, "येईल ना", and the soft "हं" that ends a polite request. Formal written Marathi read aloud on a call sounds like a government notice, so call scripts work best in the spoken forms. Customer messages in Mumbai and Pune also mix in English freely (parcel, EMI, link, OTP), and Pāṇini reads that mix in one Marathi voice.

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).
Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.
Voice cloning
Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Marathi, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Marathi script.
Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Marathi, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

One request returns Marathi audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).
