Voices

This line runs about 7 seconds. Play up to 220 characters at a time in your browser, free, with no account. To keep the audio for your video, sign up free: the dashboard saves each clip as a WAV file and the API returns MP3. Free signup gives 10,000 free text-to-speech characters and one free voice clone that speaks every language, no card required.

Step by step

Adding the voice-over in Facebook, Meta Business Suite or Edits

Save the voice-over first: sign up free and use Download audio in the dashboard (a WAV file). Facebook's own Add voiceover records your microphone, so the file goes into the video before you post, or in through Business Suite.

Facebook app

  1. 01Make the video with the voice-over in it, in Edits, VN or InShot.
  2. 02In the Facebook app, create a reel and add that video.
  3. 03For music under the voice, tap Audio, then Controls, then Add music. Keep the music low.
  4. 04Add a caption that says what the Reel is about, in the viewer's language.

Steps from Facebook Help: add music or audio when creating a reel. Menu names can differ by app version.

Meta Business Suite

  1. 01On a computer, click Create reel.
  2. 02Under Media, click Add video and upload the video with the voice-over.
  3. 03Edit the reel: when posting to Facebook you can add or change its audio.
  4. 04Under Closed captions & translations, choose captions, or a dubbed track (below).

Business Suite only edits a reel's audio when it posts to Facebook, not to Instagram.

Steps from Meta Business Help: create and manage reels in Meta Business Suite. Menu names can differ by app version.

Edits

  1. 01In a project, tap Audio, then Collections.
  2. 02Tap Import from files and pick the saved voice-over.
  3. 03Lay your clips to the voice, then save the video and post it to Facebook as a reel.

Steps from Instagram Help: add or import music and audio in Edits. Menu names can differ by app version.

One Reel, several languages

Upload Bangla, Hindi or Arabic tracks to the same Reel

Meta says Facebook Pages can upload up to 20 of their own dubbed audio tracks to a single Reel in Meta Business Suite, under Closed captions & translations, then Upload your own translated audio tracks (Meta for Creators). Viewers hear the track for their language.

That suits a Page with followers in more than one country. Write the script once, have it translated by someone who speaks each language, and generate each version in Sonex with the same voice, or with your own cloned voice so every track sounds like you.

Meta also has an automatic option, Meta AI translations, which dubs the voice you recorded into other supported languages. Use it when you speak on camera; use your own tracks when you start from a script, or want a language it does not cover.

Check your Page first

Whether the upload option appears depends on Meta's rollout for your Page. If you do not see it, post one Reel per language instead.

Monetisation

What Meta's rules say about voice-overs on monetised Reels

Meta does not restrict AI voices. It restricts unoriginal and reposted content, and the rules mention voice-overs directly.

  • Original content earns; reposts do not. “Content that is unoriginal or reproduced without making meaningful enhancements (commentary, parody, creative editing, etc.) cannot be monetized” (Partner Monetization Policies).
  • Narrating someone else's clip is not enough. Meta’s Original Content Guidelines list “simply describing (in text, on-screen, via voiceover or in the description) what happens in a photo or video” as a minor change that does not make content original.
  • A voice-over that adds something counts. Meta’s July 2025 post on combating unoriginal content names creative editing, voice-over and commentary as ways to make material your own, and says accounts that repeatedly reuse others’ videos lose monetisation and reach.
  • Monetisation is by invitation. Facebook Content Monetization is invite-only for now; Meta decides who is eligible.
  • In practice: write your own script, shoot or license your own footage, and let the AI voice read your words. Label the Reel as AI where the voice could pass for a real person.

Voices by style

Voices that suit Facebook's audience

Facebook Reels are often watched by families and older viewers as well as young ones, so clear, unhurried reads work well.

  • Warm family explainer

Home tips, cooking and health-habit Reels for a broad audience.

Write it like this: Polite address (আপনি, آپ, आप), one tip per sentence, and the action at the end.

    • Nupur · Female · Bengali, Indian · catalogue tone: Warm, Expressive
    • Priya · Female · Hindi, Indian · catalogue tone: Warm, Expressive

    ভাত রান্নার আগে চালটা আধা ঘণ্টা ভিজিয়ে রাখুন। ভাত ঝরঝরে হবে, গ্যাসও কম লাগবে।

Soak the rice for half an hour before cooking. It comes out fluffy, and uses less gas.

  • Calm news-style

Local news summaries, price updates and "what changed this week" Reels.

Write it like this: Lead with the fact, then one sentence of why it matters. Write dates and numbers as you want them read.

    • Arindam · Male · Bengali, Indian · catalogue tone: Helpful, Calm
    • Alok · Male · Hindi, Indian · catalogue tone: Natural, Professional

اس ہفتے پٹرول کی قیمت میں کوئی تبدیلی نہیں ہوئی۔ اگلی قیمت مہینے کی پندرہ تاریخ کو آئے گی۔

There was no change in the petrol price this week. The next price comes on the fifteenth of the month.

  • Friendly Gulf promo

Restaurant, salon and shop offers for Pages in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.

Write it like this: Spoken Gulf Arabic, the offer in the first sentence, and the deadline in the last.

    • Tariq · Male · Arabic · catalogue tone: Calm, Expressive
    • Nour · Female · Arabic · catalogue tone: Natural, Calm

عرض الويكند: أي وجبة عائلية مع مشروب مجاني. العرض لين يوم السبت بس.

Weekend offer: any family meal with a free drink. The offer runs until Saturday only.

  • Story for longer Reels

Two- or three-minute stories that Facebook viewers watch to the end.

Write it like this: Short scenes, a pause before each turn, and a last line that sends viewers to part two.

    • Anchal · Female · Hindi, Indian · catalogue tone: Experienced, Calm
    • Arindam · Male · Bengali, Indian · catalogue tone: Helpful, Calm

    उस रात गाँव की बिजली चली गई थी। तभी किसी ने दरवाज़ा खटखटाया, तीन बार, बहुत धीरे। बाकी कहानी अगले Reel में।

The village power had gone out that night. Then someone knocked on the door, three times, very softly. The rest of the story in the next Reel.

There are no style presets: the style comes from the voice you pick and from how you write the script. Short sentences and full stops slow a read down; question marks lift it; exclamation marks add energy.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Bangla

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Bangla, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Bangla script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Bangla, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

How voice cloning works

FAQ

Questions creators ask

Yes. Meta restricts unoriginal or reposted content, not AI voices. Its Partner Monetization Policies say unoriginal content, or content reproduced without meaningful enhancements, cannot be monetised, and its Original Content Guidelines say a voice-over that only describes what happens in someone else's video does not count. Write your own script over footage you made or have the rights to. Facebook Content Monetization is invite-only, and the decision is Meta's.

Meta says Facebook Pages can upload up to 20 of their own dubbed audio tracks to one Reel in Meta Business Suite, under Closed captions & translations. Generate each language version in Sonex with the same voice or your clone, save it, and upload it there. If your Page does not show the option yet, post one Reel per language.

No. Meta AI translations dubs a voice you already recorded into other supported languages. Sonex reads a script you write, in a platform voice or your cloned voice, in any of 250+ languages, and gives you a file you own.

Meta asks for a label on realistic-sounding audio that was made or changed with AI, across its apps; its Instagram help page gives a reel narrated by a realistic AI voice as an example. Add the AI label when the voice could pass for a real person.

Not among the platform voices: the Bangla voices have an Indian Bengali accent and Urdu is read by Hindi voices. Clone your own voice from a 10-second recording and it reads Bangla or Urdu with your accent.

Instagram's Edits app imports audio from your phone's files (Audio, Collections, Import from files). VN and InShot also add your own audio. On a computer, Meta Business Suite lets you upload the finished video and edit a Facebook reel's audio.

Yes. Audio you generate, on the free tier or with paid credits, can be used on monetised YouTube channels, Shorts, Reels and in ads, with no attribution. YouTube limits mass-produced, repetitive videos, not AI voices, so write your own script and keep your edits original. The monetisation decision is YouTube's.

The audio you generate is yours to use, including commercially, with no attribution and no royalties to Sonex Labs. You are responsible for the script itself: if you read someone else's text, you need their permission.

Yes. A Sonex voice clone is not tied to the language it was recorded in. Type a Bangla script and your clone reads it in your own voice, with Bangla pronunciation. Your natural accent carries over, so it sounds like you speaking Bangla.
