The best Bangla and Urdu AI voices for TikTok and Reels in 2026

Creators in Bangladesh, West Bengal and Pakistan who want an AI voiceover in their own language soon find that the voices built into the apps do not help much. Instagram's text-to-speech reads only English, TikTok does not publish a language list for its built-in voice that we could find, and Meta AI's Reels translation now dubs your own voice into Bengali but not into Urdu. So a Bangla or Urdu narration usually comes from a separate text-to-speech tool, and few tools cover both languages. When we checked their own pages on 26 October 2026, ElevenLabs, Narakeet and TTSMaker listed both Bangla and Urdu, while Murf listed Bengali but not Urdu. Below is how they compare on free tier, price and commercial use, then voices you can play in each language, including an honest note on our own tool: Sonex Labs has two native Bengali voices with an Indian accent, and no native Urdu voice.

What TikTok and Instagram's own voices do in Bangla and Urdu

The built-in voices are an English-first feature. Instagram's help page on adding text and text-to-speech to a reel says text-to-speech is only available in English, in select countries where captions are available (Instagram Help). Neither Bangla nor Urdu is offered.

TikTok's text-to-speech turns typed text into a voice that plays as the text appears on screen (TikTok newsroom). Its help page for the feature did not load for us on 26 October 2026, and we found no official list of the languages it reads, so we cannot say whether it speaks Bangla or Urdu in your region. Try a line in the app before you plan a series around it.

Meta AI translation is a different tool with a different starting point. It dubs a Reel in which you speak into another language, keeping the sound and tone of your voice, with optional lip sync. Since 16 January 2026 it has covered Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi in addition to Hindi, English, Spanish and Portuguese (Meta). Urdu is not on that list. Meta says the feature is free for all public Instagram accounts in countries where Meta AI is available (Meta), but it needs your recorded voice, so it does not help a faceless page that starts from a script.

Bangla and Urdu AI voice tools compared

Language coverage is the first filter, and the detail matters. ElevenLabs' documentation lists Bengali and Urdu only for its Eleven v3 models, not for Multilingual v2 or Flash v2.5, so check which model a voice uses before you render (ElevenLabs docs). Narakeet lists six Bangla voices, two with a Bangladesh accent and four with a West Bengal accent, and four Urdu voices (Narakeet). Murf's language list includes Bengali but not Urdu (Murf). CapCut says its tool supports dozens of languages but does not name Bangla or Urdu on the pages we read (CapCut).

The free tier's terms are the second filter. ElevenLabs' free plan cannot be used commercially and requires "elevenlabs.io" or "11.ai" in the title (ElevenLabs help). Murf's free trial does not allow downloads (Murf help). Narakeet's free accounts get 20 files with no commercial use (Narakeet pricing). TTSMaker says its audio may be used for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, with 20,000 free characters a week (TTSMaker), and CapCut says audio from its text-to-speech tool can be used commercially under its terms (CapCut).

Every fact in the table comes from the tool's own pages, checked on 26 October 2026. Where we could not confirm a fact there, the table says so.

Bangla voices to try for TikTok and Reels

Sonex Labs has two native Bengali voices in its Pāṇini TTS catalogue, and both were recorded in India. Standard written Bangla is the same in Bangladesh and West Bengal, so your script reads correctly, but the accent is Indian Bengali. Write the words your audience uses: Bangladeshi forms such as পানি and নাস্তা are read as written.

Nupur is warm and expressive and suits hooks, food, travel and vlog Reels; two of the samples below use her, one with a Dhaka tea-stall line. Arindam is calm and suits horror, mystery and documentary-style stories. The third option is your own voice: a clone made from a 10-second recording speaks Bangla in your accent, which is the only way to a Bangladeshi accent on Sonex Labs. Play your own first line on the Bengali voice-over page.

Food Reel hook: "Wait, don't scroll! Make this breakfast in just ten minutes; almost nobody knows the last tip." (Nupur)

Vlog line: "A cup of tea at this little Dhaka shop is just ten taka, and by evening there's a long queue." (Nupur)

Story narration: "That night the whole village was dark. Suddenly someone called a name three times from the pond, but nobody was there." (Arindam)

Urdu voices to try, and why none of them is native

Sonex Labs has no native Urdu voice yet. Spoken Urdu and Hindi are close, so the Hindi voices in the Pāṇini TTS catalogue read Urdu script clearly, but with a Hindi speaker's accent. For a Pakistani accent, clone your own voice, or a native speaker's with their consent; the clone reads Urdu in that voice.

Alok is a steady male voice for explainers, tech and news-style videos. Priya is warm and expressive for cooking, lifestyle and Shorts-style hooks. Anchal is calm and unhurried for kahani and late-night story channels. Write in Urdu script (Nastaliq) for the most predictable reading, with full stops (۔) where you want the voice to settle; Roman Urdu also works, but play a line first. The Urdu voice-over page lets you try your own script.

Explainer hook: "Do you know whether it's OK to leave your phone charging all night? The answer is at the end of the video." (Alok, a Hindi voice)

Cooking hook: "Wait, don't scroll! Try this tea that takes just ten minutes, at least once." (Priya, a Hindi voice)

Story narration: "That night there was a strange silence in the old Lahore lane, and the haveli door opened by itself." (Anchal, a Hindi voice)

How long a Bangla or Urdu script should be

Size the script in characters with the voice you will use. In our 24 October 2026 renders at normal speed, Nupur read Bangla at about 880 characters a minute and Alok read Urdu script at about 927 (how we measured).

That puts a 30-second TikTok or Reel at about 440 Bangla characters or 460 Urdu characters, and a 60-second one at about 880 Bangla or 930 Urdu. One 220-character play on the website is about 15 seconds of Bangla or 14 seconds of Urdu. The 10,000 free characters after signup come to about 11.4 minutes of Bangla or 10.8 minutes of Urdu with those voices.

Other voices read at other speeds, so time your own first line before you size a whole script. Write numbers and prices as the words you want spoken, such as দশ টাকা or دس منٹ, and cut a sentence rather than speeding the voice up: speed is only an API setting (0.5 to 2.0), and the website plays every voice at its normal pace.

Adding the voice in CapCut, VN, InShot or Edits

Once you have an audio file, add it to your video as a track in the editor you already use. With Sonex Labs the website plays audio in the browser only; for a file, sign up free, then use the dashboard's Download audio button, which saves WAV, or the API, which returns MP3 when you ask for it.

CapCut, where it is available, has its own text-to-speech; CapCut's guide describes adding it on desktop from the Text panel and then exporting the project (CapCut). VN's App Store listing says you can bring media in via AirDrop, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, Telegram or Zip (VN), which is the simplest way to move a file from a laptop to your phone. In Edits, Instagram's help page describes a folder icon in the Audio tool for adding your own track (Edits help), and Meta has added Bengali-Assamese script fonts to Edits for Bangla captions (Meta). InShot's listing mentions adding music and voice-overs; check its menus in the app, because we did not find them on an official help page. Menus differ between app versions.

Two platform rules apply before you post. TikTok asks creators to label AI-generated content that contains realistic images, audio or video, using the AI-generated content setting under More options before posting, and says the label does not affect distribution for videos within its guidelines (TikTok support). Instagram tells creators to post original content rather than reposts, and says Reels with visible watermarks are less likely to be recommended to non-followers (Instagram Creators).

The workflow is the same for Bangla and Urdu; the language decides which tools you can use at step three.

Where Sonex Labs fits, and what it does not do

Sonex Labs fits if you want commercial use on a free tier, Bangla narration from native voices, or a clone of your own voice that reads both Bangla and Urdu in your accent. Free signup gives 10,000 characters and one voice clone with no card; after that the price is $0.03125 per 1,000 characters, the same for every language. The voice cloning page explains the 10-second sample. Clone only your own voice, or someone's with their consent, never a public figure.

It does not fit every format. There is no native Urdu voice and no Bangladeshi-accent stock voice. There are no style presets, no pitch control, no child, character or celebrity voices, no voice changer, and no sound effects or music. Sonex does not post to TikTok or Instagram and has no mobile app, and the website has no download button or speed control. For more on short-form voices, see the TikTok voice generator, AI voice for Reels and our comparison of AI voice generators for TikTok.

Questions people ask

We could not confirm it. TikTok's help page for text-to-speech did not load when we checked on 26 October 2026, and we found no official list of the languages it reads. Try a line in the app, or use a tool that lists both languages on its own pages, such as ElevenLabs, Narakeet or TTSMaker.

On 26 October 2026, TTSMaker listed Urdu and said its free audio, up to 20,000 characters a week, may be used commercially. ElevenLabs' and Narakeet's free tiers did not allow commercial use. Sonex Labs allows commercial use on its free tier but has no native Urdu voice; its Hindi voices read Urdu script.

Narakeet lists two Bangla voices with a Bangladesh accent, alongside four with a West Bengal accent. Sonex Labs' two Bengali voices have an Indian accent, so for a Bangladeshi accent there you would clone your own voice from a 10-second recording; the clone keeps your accent in every language it reads.

Bengali, yes: since 16 January 2026 Meta AI can translate and dub Reels into Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi, as well as Hindi, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Urdu was not on Meta's list. The feature dubs your own recorded voice and is free for public Instagram accounts where Meta AI is available.
