Algerian Arabic AI voice generator

There is no native Algerian Arabic platform voice yet, so the playground uses Tariq, a voice recorded in another language: the Algerian Arabic text is read correctly, in that voice's accent. For a local accent, clone a native Algerian Arabic speaker from a 10-second recording and use that voice for every clip.

Free Algerian Arabic text to speech: what you get

  • Play up to 220 characters of Algerian Arabic at a time in the playground above, with no account.
  • Sign up free for 10,000 characters and one voice clone, no card required.
  • After sign-up, get MP3 from the API or download clips from the dashboard.
  • After the free characters, $0.03125 per 1,000 characters, the same rate for every language.

Convert Algerian Arabic text to audio (MP3)

Sign up free, then send Algerian Arabic text to the API with "output_format": "mp3" and save the file, or generate clips in the dashboard and download them. Scripts longer than the playground's 220 characters work the same way.

About Algerian Arabic

How Algerian Arabic speech is read

Algerian Arabic, often called Darja, greets with "واش راك؟" (how are you?, to a man; "واش راكي" to a woman), asks "شحال؟" (how much?), says "درك" (now), "بزاف" (a lot) and "صحّيت" (thanks, well done). Possession uses "تاع": "الكولي تاعك" (your parcel). Like Moroccan, it uses n- for "I" ("نقدر", I can) and drops many short vowels. Accents change across the country: Oran in the west, Algiers in the centre and Constantine in the east sound noticeably different.

After 130 years of French rule, French is woven through everyday Algerian speech, and customer messages show it: "الكولي" (le colis, parcel), "الفاكتورة" (bill), "الكارت", "البوسطة", or whole French phrases. Pāṇini reads Arabic mixed with French in one voice. MSA sounds like television to an Algerian caller, and a Middle Eastern accent sounds foreign; Darja with the right French words sounds like a local company.

Where it is spoken

Price
$0.03125 per 1,000 characters, the same rate for every language.

Use Algerian Arabic AI voice-overs on monetised channels

  • Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.
  • This applies to the free tier and to paid credits. No attribution to Sonex Labs is needed.
  • You are responsible for your script, and for disclosing realistic synthetic content where a platform asks you to.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Algerian Arabic

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Algerian Arabic, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Algerian Arabic script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Algerian Arabic, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

API

Algerian Arabic TTS API

One request returns Algerian Arabic audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).

Yes, after free sign-up. The playground on this page plays audio in your browser only, up to 220 characters at a time, so you can check the voice first. Tariq, an Arabic voice, reads these samples; any voice can speak Algerian Arabic, and you can clone a native speaker's voice from 10 seconds.

Yes. French words such as colis or facture inside a Darja sentence are read in the same voice.

They are close and share many words, but pronunciation and vocabulary differ. Write the forms your Algerian customers use.

Yes. Audio you generate, on the free tier or with paid credits, can be used on monetised YouTube channels, Shorts, Reels and in ads, with no attribution. YouTube limits mass-produced, repetitive videos, not AI voices, so write your own script and keep your edits original. The monetisation decision is YouTube's.

The audio you generate is yours to use, including commercially, with no attribution and no royalties to Sonex Labs. You are responsible for the script itself: if you read someone else's text, you need their permission.

Yes. A Sonex voice clone is not tied to the language it was recorded in. Type a Algerian Arabic script and your clone reads it in your own voice, with Algerian Arabic pronunciation. Your natural accent carries over, so it sounds like you speaking Algerian Arabic.
