Kashmiri AI voice generator

There is no native Kashmiri platform voice yet, so the playground uses Alok, a voice recorded in another language: the Kashmiri text is read correctly, in that voice's accent. For a local accent, clone a native Kashmiri speaker from a 10-second recording and use that voice for every clip.

Free Kashmiri text to speech: what you get

  • Play up to 220 characters of Kashmiri at a time in the playground above, with no account.
  • Sign up free for 10,000 characters and one voice clone, no card required.
  • After sign-up, get MP3 from the API or download clips from the dashboard.
  • After the free characters, $0.03125 per 1,000 characters, the same rate for every language.

Convert Kashmiri text to audio (MP3)

Sign up free, then send Kashmiri text to the API with "output_format": "mp3" and save the file, or generate clips in the dashboard and download them. Scripts longer than the playground's 220 characters work the same way.

About Kashmiri

How Kashmiri speech is read

Kashmiri has vowels that neither Urdu nor Hindi has, and its Perso-Arabic spelling marks them with extra signs, as in کٲشُر, the language's own name. In everyday typing those marks are often dropped, and a word without them can be read more than one way. For speech that ambiguity is the main risk: the clearer the vowel marks in your text, the closer the audio is to what a Kashmiri listener expects.

Kashmiri politeness is built into address: تُہی for the respectful "you" and a greeting like آداب on a call. Customer text also borrows from Urdu and English freely. There is no dedicated Kashmiri platform voice yet: Alok, a Hindi voice, reads the samples on this page. For a Valley accent, clone a voice from 10 seconds of a native Kashmiri speaker.

Commercial use

Use Kashmiri AI voice-overs on monetised channels

  • Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.
  • This applies to the free tier and to paid credits. No attribution to Sonex Labs is needed.
  • You are responsible for your script, and for disclosing realistic synthetic content where a platform asks you to.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Kashmiri

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Kashmiri, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Kashmiri script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Kashmiri, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

How voice cloning works

API

Kashmiri TTS API

One request returns Kashmiri audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).
