Three ways
Where to get Hindi audio as a file
This page lets you hear the voices. The file itself comes from the dashboard (WAV) or the API (MP3), both after a free signup.
| Where | Account | How much per go | File | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The playground on this page | None | 220 characters a play, about 14 seconds of Hindi | None: it plays in your browser only | Hearing the voices on your own lines before you sign up |
| Text to speech in the dashboard | Free signup, no card | From your 10,000 free characters (about 10.7 minutes of Hindi) | WAV, with Download audio | Full scripts, generated scene by scene |
| The Pāṇini TTS API | Free signup and an API key | From your free characters, then your credits | MP3 when you send "output_format": "mp3" | Developers, apps and batch jobs |

First, pick the Hindi voice on this page
- 1
Type or paste the Hindi
Devanagari, or Hinglish in Roman letters (aaj ka video), which is rewritten in Devanagari before it is spoken. Up to 220 characters at a time.
- 2
Pick a voice and press play
Choose Priya, Alok or Anchal. The clip is generated and plays straight away. Change a word and play again until it sounds right.
- 3
Note the voice you want
The playground plays audio in your browser only and does not save a file. Once you know which voice suits your video, sign up free to make the file in that voice.

Whole Hindi scripts from the dashboard
10,000 free characters make about 10.7 minutes of Hindi with Priya, measured at normal speed on 24 October 2026.
- 1
Sign up free
10,000 free text-to-speech characters and one free voice clone that speaks every language, no card required.
- 2
Open Text to speech
Paste your script, pick the same Hindi voice and press Generate speech. Generate one scene at a time so each clip matches its shot.
- 3
Press Download audio
The clip saves as a WAV file. Video editors such as CapCut and VN generally import WAV as well as MP3; WAV files are larger because they are not compressed.
- Need MP3 rather than WAV? Use the API below, or convert the WAV file.
Free signup and an API key
Hindi MP3 from the API
The API returns MP3 when the request sets output_format to mp3. Creating a key needs no payment, and requests draw on the same free characters.
1curl -X POST https://api.sonexlabs.com/v1/speech \2 -H "Authorization: Bearer $SONEX_API_KEY" \3 -H "Content-Type: application/json" \4 -d '{5 "text": "नमस्ते! आज के वीडियो में तीन आसान टिप्स हैं।",6 "voice_id": "lkwlapu6ab",7 "output_format": "mp3"8 }' \9 --output hindi.mp3The voice_id here is Priya. The file is saved as hindi.mp3. Details and other languages are in the Pāṇini TTS API docs.
If you need MP3
Convert the dashboard WAV to MP3
Most video editors take WAV as it is, so try that first. If a platform asks for MP3, or the WAV is too large to send, convert it. On a computer, ffmpeg does it in one line; Audacity (free) can open the WAV and export it as MP3.
1ffmpeg -i panini-tts.wav -codec:a libmp3lame -qscale:a 2 hindi.mp3Commercial use
Use Hindi AI voice-overs on monetised channels
- Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.
- This applies to the free tier and to paid credits. No attribution to Sonex Labs is needed.
- You are responsible for your script, and for disclosing realistic synthetic content where a platform asks you to.

YouTube
Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?
Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).
Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.
FAQ
Hindi audio download questions
Yes, after free sign-up. A free account gives 10,000 characters and one voice clone, no card required, and the dashboard saves each clip as a WAV file. The playground on this page is free with no account, but it only plays audio in your browser, up to 220 characters at a time.
No. Without an account you can play Hindi audio on this page to hear the voices, but there is no download button. To save the file, sign up free and use the dashboard or the API.
Yes, after free sign-up: the API returns MP3 when you set "output_format": "mp3". The dashboard saves WAV, which you can use as it is or convert to MP3 with a free tool such as ffmpeg or Audacity.
Not on this page: each play takes 220 characters, about two or three sentences. In the dashboard, your 10,000 free characters cover about 10.7 minutes of Hindi; generate a long script scene by scene and join the clips in your editor.
The dashboard's Download audio button saves WAV, an uncompressed format that most video editors import. If you need MP3 specifically, use the API with "output_format": "mp3", or convert the WAV file.
Yes. Hinglish typed in Roman letters is rewritten in Devanagari before it is spoken on this page, so you hear Hindi, not English-accented Roman text. Check names and brand words by ear.
Not on this page: the playground has no speed control. Developers can set it through the API with the "speed" parameter, from 0.5 to 2.0. For a calmer read without changing speed, write shorter sentences and use full stops for pauses.
Yes. Audio you generate, on the free tier or with paid credits, can be used on monetised YouTube channels, Shorts, Reels and in ads, with no attribution. YouTube limits mass-produced, repetitive videos, not AI voices, so write your own script and keep your edits original. The monetisation decision is YouTube's.
The audio you generate is yours to use, including commercially, with no attribution and no royalties to Sonex Labs. You are responsible for the script itself: if you read someone else's text, you need their permission.
