Govind, a native Chhattisgarhi platform voice, reads the playground above. Any Sonex Labs voice can also read Chhattisgarhi, keeping its own accent, and a voice cloned from a 10-second recording of a Chhattisgarhi speaker carries that speaker's accent.

About Chhattisgarhi

How Chhattisgarhi speech is read

Chhattisgarhi is the official language of Chhattisgarh alongside Hindi and the home language of more than sixteen million people, though the census counts it under Hindi. It does not sound like Hindi: "is" is हावय, "my" and "your" are मोर and तोर (तुंहर when polite), "good" is बने, "time" is बेरा, and the future ends in -बो and -ही. People greet each other with "जय जोहार".

A Hindi voice reading Chhattisgarhi swaps हावय for है and loses the rhythm of the language, and listeners in Raipur or Bilaspur hear an outsider. Pāṇini TTS has a dedicated Chhattisgarhi platform voice, Govind, who reads every sample on this page.

Chhattisgarhi and Hindi

How Chhattisgarhi differs from Hindi

A Hindi voice reading Chhattisgarhi swaps हावय for है, and listeners in Raipur or Bilaspur hear an outsider. The playground on this page uses Govind, a native Chhattisgarhi voice.

"Is"
हावय and हे take the place of है: "तुंहर EMI के तारीख पंदरा हावय" (your EMI is due on the fifteenth).
"My" and "your"
मोर and तोर mean मेरा and तेरा; तुंहर and आपमन are used when speaking politely.
Small words
म for में (in), ले for से (from) and ला for को (to): मोला means मुझे.
Future and plural
The future ends in -बो and -ही (भेज देबो, we will send; नइ लागही, won't be charged), and मन marks a plural, as in आपमन.

Voice over for YouTube, Shorts and Reels in Chhattisgarhi

CG comedy, Bastar travel and farming videos have a big audience in Chhattisgarh, and viewers switch off when the voice sounds like Hindi. Govind is a native Chhattisgarhi voice, so हावय, बने and तुंहर come out right. That makes this a Chhattisgarhi AI voice generator free to start with: write the line, play it above, and sign up for the file. Chhattisgarhi voice over AI is easiest to pace when each sentence is short, and the Chhattisgarhi text to speech MP3 is yours to download.

10,000 free text-to-speech characters and one free voice clone that speaks every language, no card required. That is roughly ten minutes of narration, an estimate based on the Hindi rate we measured (Chhattisgarhi itself has not been timed). The player above plays in your browser only, so you can check the voice with no account. To save the audio, sign up free: the dashboard saves each clip as a WAV file, and the API returns MP3 when you set "output_format": "mp3". More for video makers on the creators page.

Use Chhattisgarhi AI voice-overs on monetised channels

  • Use the audio in YouTube videos, Shorts, Instagram Reels, podcasts and ads, including on monetised channels.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Chhattisgarhi

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Chhattisgarhi, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Chhattisgarhi script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Chhattisgarhi, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

How voice cloning works

API

Chhattisgarhi TTS API

One request returns Chhattisgarhi audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).
