Indian English AI voice generator

Diya, a native Indian English platform voice, reads the playground above. Any Sonex Labs voice can also read Indian English, keeping its own accent, and a voice cloned from a 10-second recording of a Indian English speaker carries that speaker's accent.

About Indian English

How Indian English speech is read

Most English spoken in India is a second or third language, and it has its own rhythm, vowels and stress. A voice with an American or British accent can sound distant on a call to a customer in Pune or Patna. Diya, a native Indian English platform voice, reads the samples on this page, and Pāṇini is trained on 8 kHz phone audio, so the accent holds up on a feature phone as well as in an app.

Indian English text also carries things other English does not: lakh and crore, amounts in rupees, dates written day first, and Indian names, places and Hindi words such as ji or chai inside English sentences. Pāṇini reads code-mixed text in one voice, so a Hindi word inside an English sentence does not trigger a change of accent.

YouTube

Can a channel with an AI voice be monetised?

Yes, AI voices are allowed. What YouTube limits is mass-produced, repetitive content: videos made from a template with little original work. Its July 2025 update renamed that rule from “repetitious” to “inauthentic” content (YouTube’s monetisation policies).

Write your own script, add your own research or editing, and keep one consistent voice for the channel. Where a realistic AI voice could mislead viewers, use YouTube’s altered or synthetic content label. The monetisation decision is always YouTube’s.

Voice cloning

Your own voice, speaking Indian English

Clone your voice from a 10-second recording. Your clone speaks Indian English, and every other language Pāṇini supports, in your own voice. The language comes from the text you type, so a clone recorded in English or Hindi can read a Indian English script.

Your accent comes with it: a clone sounds like you speaking Indian English, not like a different native speaker. Every free account includes one voice clone. Clone only your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed.

How voice cloning works

API

Indian English TTS API

One request returns Indian English audio as MP3. The language is detected from the text, so no language setting is needed. Pāṇini TTS starts streaming audio in under 200 ms (time to first byte).
